Hero MotoCorp, the world’s largest two-wheeler manufacturer, has officially entered the United Kingdom with the launch of its new premium motorcycle — the Hero Hunk 440. This launch marks a major milestone in Hero’s global expansion strategy as it strengthens its footprint across Europe following successful entries into Italy and Spain. Partnering with UK-based distributor MotoGB, Hero MotoCorp aims to offer European riders accessible premium motorcycles combining Indian engineering with modern performance.
The Hero Hunk 440 is built to meet Euro 5+ emission standards and is positioned in the A2 performance motorcycle segment. Powered by a 440cc single-cylinder, air-cooled engine producing 27 bhp at 6,000 rpm and 36 Nm of torque at 4,000 rpm, the bike promises smooth power delivery and robust mid-range performance — ideal for both city commuting and long highway cruising. The engine is paired with a 6-speed gearbox with a slip-assist clutch, improving gear shifts and overall riding comfort.
Designed in collaboration with Harley-Davidson, the Hero Hunk 440 shares its architecture with the Mavrick 440, offering a muscular yet refined road presence. It is engineered with a high-tensile steel trellis frame and gets premium hardware including KYB 43mm USD front forks and gas-charged twin rear shocks. The braking system features dual-channel ABS, a 320mm front disc and a 240mm rear disc powered by ByBre calipers — ensuring excellent stopping confidence for riders.
Visually, the Hero Hunk 440 exudes an aggressive stance with its naked streetfighter-inspired design. The bike comes in three modern colour options — Twilight Blue, Phantom Black, and Titanium Grey — catering to diverse rider preferences. It also gets a fully digital TFT instrument cluster with Bluetooth connectivity, turn-by-turn navigation, and call/message notifications, enhancing its tech appeal for today’s generation of riders.
Priced competitively at £3,499 (approximately ₹4.08 lakh) plus £200 on-road, the Hero Hunk 440 aims to shake up the UK mid-capacity motorcycle segment. The bike will be available through an initial network of 25 MotoGB dealerships, expected to grow to 35 by 2026. This wide service and sales support ensures British customers enjoy the same trusted after-sales network that made Hero MotoCorp India’s top two-wheeler brand.
This launch also represents Hero MotoCorp’s 51st international market entry, underlining its vision to become a truly global mobility brand. Executive Chairman Pawan Munjal described the move as part of the company’s “mobility without boundaries” mission — blending performance, safety, and affordability for global riders.
